I know Houston has had a bye week to prepare for this one, but I have to take the Titans and the points with this being a revenge game and with all the momentum on Tennessee’s side. The Titans are 3-0 SU & ATS since Vince Young took over and he loves playing in his home town. I just don’t think the Texans can be trusted laying more than a field goal here when you consider that they gave up 240 rushing yards to Chris Johnson and company in the first meeting. Chris Johnson has been terrorizing the league all season and now that the Tennessee defense is as healthy as it’s been, we are starting to see the wins pile up. The Texans torched the Titans through the air in the season’s first meeting, but I don’t see Houston having the same success here. Matt Schaub is down a valuable weapon in Owen Daniels, who caught a TD pass in the first meeting. That means that the Titans can pay even more attention to Andre Johnson. Plus, Titans Pro Bowl corner Cortland Finnegan is no longer hampered by a hamstring injury and I expect him to do a much better job on Johnson because of it. The Titans are 11-4 all-time against the Texans and 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Houston. Plus, the underdog is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings in this matchup. Even more impressive is the fact that the Titans are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog of 3.5-10 points. But here’s the icing on the cake: Plays on any team revenging an upset loss against an opponent as a home favorite, team with a losing record in the second half of the season, are 24-6 ATS the last 5 seasons. Take the points.
